About this Lesson

Your ‘why’ is simply the reason why you became a Beachbody coach and the result you hope to see from it.  Having a clear ‘why’ is one of your most powerful tools as a Coach.  It is what will push you through obstacles, what will help you stay focused when distractions appear and what will help you connect with others in a meaningful way.

You will know when you’ve identified a strong ‘why’ for yourself when what you’ve identified elicits some kind of emotion.  A strong why will have real meaning for you in your life, it will be more than words to you. What you’ll find is that knowing why you’re a Coach will also give you a way to more easily connect with others…and as a Coach, connecting with people is at the core of what you do.

TIP:  Be like a child.  Ask yourself 'why?' over and over and over until you come to the real answer:  "I want to make an extra $200 per month"...."why?"..."to help pay my bills"..."why?"..."because that will alleviate some stress from our lives"..."why will that be good?"..."because we will be able to focus on other things than just trying to make ends meet"..."like what?"..."like spending more time together as a family and enjoying each other's company"..."how does that look for you?"..."we would go to a movie once a month without worrying about the cost or out to dinner together as a family".   You see how much more REAL and POWERFUL that is than stopping at the first answer?  Be annoyingly childlike in this exercise...keep asking "why".
